Commodore,
Joseph Santospirito
Joseph Santospirito and his wife, Lorin joined the Club in
April 2005. Although a relatively new member at the time, Joe
volunteered for the position of Dock Master for the summer of 2007,
assisting the Rear Commodore with the assignments of temporary slips. In
August 2007 he was appointed to the Nominating Committee, and in November
he was elected to the office of Rear-Commodore for the 2007-08 fiscal
year. During the 2008 summer season, he continued with assigning both
permanent and temporary slips as they became available and, in addition,
was financially responsible for the collection of all Marina fees and for
maintaining accurate records for the reimbursement of funds when
required. In 2008, Joe was re-elected Rear-Commodore. During the summer
of 2009, concern over the maintenance and repair of the Marina led Joe and
the Board of Governors to consider additional funding from the membership
to insure the stability of our Marina facilities. As a result, he
presented a proposal to the membership for an increase in Marina
fees, together with a Constitutional change to effect this adjustment.
This year, Joe was elected Commodore and as a result will bring us into
the new fiscal year with increased confidence. Let's give our new
Commodore all the support that he deserves.
Vice-Commodore,
Joseph Corvi
Joseph Corvi and his wife, Stacey joined the Club in January
2005. Having been former members of the Kings Park Yacht Club,
Joe had experience serving on their Marina and House Committees. During his
first four years in our Club he was significantly active on several
Committees, especially the Bartenders Committee, tending bar and assisting
with the Coordination of Bartenders for the Winter House. In November 2008,
he was elected Vice Commodore for the 2008-09 fiscal year and this
year he was re-elected for a second term. His responsibilities include the
overall operation of the Winter and Summer House while maintaining the
necessary financial records for reporting to the Club Accountants, to the
Board of Governors and to the membership. This past summer, he did a fine
job providing food and beverages throughout the summer with no loss in
revenues, in spite of the many difficulties encountered. His additional
responsibility (in accordance with our Constitution) is to assist the
Commodore when necessary in the discharge of his duties and to officiate in
his absence. Let's continue to offer Joe all the support we can as Vice
Commodore.

Rear-Commodore, Toni McLoughlin
Toni McLoughlin joined the Club with her husband, Richard in April 1992.
Soon after joining, Toni served on the Interior Design Committee during
several of our latest renovations, focusing on color scheme, design and
lighting in the Club Room, while her husband Richard served faithfully on
the Bartenders Committee. In November 2003, she was elected to the Board
as Secretary for the 2003-04 fiscal year and did a fine job recording and
reporting the minutes of all meetings and corresponding with the
membership as directed. In 2004, she was re-elected for this office for
the 2004-05 fiscal year. In 2006, she assumed responsibility for chairing
the Dark Horse Committee. After her husband's passing in 2006, Toni
continued to be active in the Club, chairing the Dark Horse Committee
and has held this position up until the present. In 2007 she also
volunteered to become House Manager for the House Committee. This year,
Toni was nominated and elected Rear-Commodore for the 2009-10 fiscal
year. With the assistance of our new Dock Master and Lagoon Chairman, she
will be responsible for all issues concerning the Marina, including the
assignment of slips and collection of fees, Marina maintenance, and the
enforcement of Marina Rules and Regulations. We hope you will give Toni
your full cooperation in this most difficult endeavor
Treasurer,
Erik Milburn, Jr.
Eric Milburn, Jr. and his wife, Laura joined the Club in
February 2005. Soon after becoming members, Eric joined the Bartenders
Committee and has tended bar numerous times. He also assisted the House
Committee on several occasions by providing refreshments at General
Meetings for the Dark Horse Committee. In November 2008 he was elected
Treasurer for the 2008-09 fiscal year, and in 2009 was re-elected for a
second term in this capacity. His responsibilities include the collection
and disbursement of Club funds, recording monthly and yearly receipts
to-date, filing necessary financial forms, and keeping all financial
records up-to-date and available for reporting to Club members,
Accountants and State Auditors as required. We trust Eric will continue
to serve the Club and its members in the same efficient manner as he has
done this past year.

Secretary, Eberhard Mueller
Eb Mueller and his wife, Claire joined the Club in March
2007. As Past Commodore of the Kings Park Yacht Club, Eb came to us with
invaluable experience as a previous member and Officer of one of our local
Yacht Clubs. In August 2007, just three months after becoming a member,
he was selected by the Nominating Committee to serve as Secretary and
elected in November for the 2007-08 fiscal year. During his first term in
office, Eb did an excellent job recording the Minutes of all General
Membership and Board meetings for presentation at the following monthly
meetings. In 2008, he was re-elected for a second term as Secretary for
the 2008-09 fiscal year. In addition to recording the minutes of all
meetings, he is also responsible for maintaining custody of all reports,
documents and correspondence relating to Club matters and
for initiating replies as required by the Board of Governors. Eb has
excelled in these abilities also. This year he was elected for a third
term as Secretary for the 2009-10 year and we wish him continued success
in all his secretarial endeavors.
Let's make every effort to give
our new Board Members the support and cooperation they deserve!
